Budget-Friendly Fabulousness!

All you need is a one dollar pen and an eleven cent piece of drawing paper!

You don’t have to get fancy with expensive pens and costly papers to teach pen & ink. This medium is SUPER cost-effective and gives young artists a firm foundation understanding the Art Element Value and the Design Principle Contrast. Kids love this because they develop fresh courage through pen and ink practice. This courage leads to success, which leads to confidence, which then results in them buying into whatever assignment you put before them. It’s really not so much about the pen and ink, but the results they get when they forge ahead in confidence. Prepare yourself for amazing work to emerge from your art classroom, so much that you will hardly believe it when you see it. I have experienced this firsthand and I know you can too! This method works!

Mrs. T Fox lessons all have a strong framework for teaching where the medium is introduced, practiced, and where learning is demonstrated with strong results. Controlled scribbling is a way of using pen that is a bit different from hatching so I am looking forward to trying it out in class.
